    After receipt of order, Quality Assurance plans of self manufactured items to be submitted to customer/consultant for their approval. Manufacturing: to start after manufacturing clearance/final approval of QAP & Drawing is received from customer/consultant. For each stages of manufacturing i.e. from procurement of raw material to final testing of product, QAP to be followed and necessary records to be maintained for customers/consultant review.The final testing of equipment as per the approved data sheet/drawings to be carried out prior to offer to the customer/consultant by factory inspection department. Material to be despatched only after receiving Material Despatch clearance from customer/consultant.

 

Procurement - Draft  - Air India Ltd.   Procurement Of "Bought Out" Items

    After receipt of order, during detail engineering, the technical data sheet of the equipments to be purchased to be submitted to customer / consultant for approval. After receipt of approval of data sheet item to be order of Approved Make only. If new make is to be order, approval to be taken from customer / consultant. ( This should be avoided not to have delay in supply). Required documents from the Supplier / Manufacturer of the items to be purchased shall be submitted to customer/consultant. After getting manufacturing clearance and approval of documents, we shall give manufacturing clearance along with all documents to the supplier. All documents related to Inspection & Testing to be checked by our Inspection Department. prior to offering the items to the customer/consultant. Materials to be despatched only after receiving the material despatch clearance from customer/consultant.

 

Erection and Commissing and testing Draft - Air India Ltd.   Erection, Commissioning & Testing

      On receipt of material at site, it is to be checked as per Material Despatch List and any shortage or damage must be notified and inspection must be requested for all shortages or damages. During unloading and handling, care must be exercised to prevent damage or distortion. Good rigging techniques should be applied. Storage area to be selected with a good level. The equipment stored in open atmosphere should be put on wooden bars and covered with tarpaulin. The electrical items if any like motors, starters, cables and other non ferrous small items should be stored in covered shed. The periodic inspection of equipment is to be carried out to check any rusting or damage due to atmospheric conditions.

      ERECTION   All Site engineers to be provided with the copy of approved Field Quality plan. All the Erection Manual for the bought out item to be made available at Site.Erection of all the equipment/plants shall be carried out strictly as per the instruction in the manual and records to be maintained as per the field quality plan.
